Privacy Policy

Priorself ("we", "our", "the app") is built and operated by Utenx. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the controls you have. We treat your data the way we'd want ours treated — kept to a minimum, never sold, never used for advertising.

1. Data we collect

Account data

• Email address — only if you choose to create an account or link one. Used for sign-in via one-time code.
• Anonymous user ID — generated locally on first launch so we can sync your sessions across reinstalls if you later add an email.

Usage data

• Sessions you record — task name, mode, duration, timestamp. Used to display your history and ghost times.
• App preferences — theme, accent color, audio settings, push reminder preferences.
• Streaks and stats — derived from your sessions.

Device data

• Crash reports via Sentry — exception traces, OS version, app version. No personal identifiers.
• Anonymous usage analytics — feature opens, session counts (no content). Used to know what to improve.
• Push notification token — only if you enable race reminders. Used to deliver scheduled local notifications.

2. What we do NOT collect

• Contacts, photos, location, microphone, calendar — none of these are accessed.
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA, AAID).
• Browsing history outside the app.
• Health data (HealthKit / Health Connect).

3. How we use your data

• To show you your own session history and ghost times.
• To sync your data across devices when you sign in.
• To diagnose crashes and bugs.
• To send race reminders you've opted into.

We never use your data for advertising. We never sell your data. We never share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-party services we use

• Convex — backend database and authentication. Hosts your sessions, account, and preferences.
• Resend — sends one-time sign-in code emails.
• Sentry — collects anonymized crash reports.
• RevenueCat — processes in-app subscription purchases and entitlements.
• Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing for subscriptions.

5. Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained for as long as you use the app. You can delete your account at any time:

• In the app: Settings → Delete account.
• From this website: /delete-account.
• By emailing us: privacy@priorself.com.

Deletion permanently removes your sessions, account record, and authentication tokens within 30 days. Anonymized crash reports may be retained for engineering purposes.

6. Children's privacy

Priorself is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email privacy@priorself.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Authentication tokens are stored securely on-device. We follow industry-standard practices but no system is 100% secure.

9. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change. Material changes will be communicated in-app. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
